Tanner Recap
Posted on February 5th, 2024
WOW!!!!! He/ we made it. Now the work really starts. So much to work on and polish.
I think it would be fun to look at where Tanner has come from in only one year! He just turned two January 1, 2024. He is getting a mature body now and is developing those big boy muscles.
Tanner going around for the first time - he looked pretty good as a puppy!
First major, first weekend out!
National Owner Handler Series / NOHS / Group Two - first weekend of showing!!!
Tanner finished his championship February 26, 2023. Great going, sir!!!
In May, 2023, Tanner joined up with Celso Shcneider, professional handler, with the goal of preparing for Montgomery in October. They had a good run together.
Interestingly, I showed Tanner at the Terrier Specialty in Illinois and it was at this show that he capped off the needed points to become a Grand Champion.
Tanner came home to be again shown by me in mid October. We showed well together and Tanner completed his NOHS Bronze title November 12, 2023.
A special placement was when we were given a Group 4 in the regular variety - the only non-handler getting a group placement that terrier ring!
We went to Orlando to compete in regular shows and the NOHS finals. Tanner decided his left rear leg needed more trimming than I had given it - how many times have I told him to groom in front of a mirror!!! We still did pretty well :-)
